I have just started a ConKerr Cancer Chapter here in the UK and have been busy making pillowcases to donate to hospices.
I have donated 8 pillowcases to Demelza House

Making cheerful pillowcases to help make hospital stays as pleasant as possible for chronically ill children certainly brings a smile to my face.
If you want to wash away those BLUE moods then join me in making pillowcases.
You can contact me via this blog from the UK or check out

Happy BLUE day.

Ann my first visit love what your doing. What a super idea . Like making comfort quilts.
This sounds like a wonderful project. It will really help someone who is feeling blue.
what a wonderful project to be doing!
I love that you do this. What a wonderful cause. They do something similar here with lap quilts... I have some extra fabric...I should do a few more this year!
Thanks for the wonderful uplifting link to Rainbow Summer School's Color BLUE!
Hugs and an A+
Yes you deserve lots of hugs for your work here...blessings in your work with these children....bkm
good for you! Your pillowcases will bring smiles to people who need a smile.....what a great way to get over being blue....
Brilliant idea. Well done for brightening up a hospital stay.
Well, my assignment is to make baby blankets for Mexico. When I say assignment, one of my friends does this and she wrangled all of her friends to come over and help her cut them out and pin them. I did not know that I was going to have to take some home to sew! I do own a sewing machine but it hasn't been used in years and never very often. When I conquer the baby blanket, I will have to try a pillow case. Great post!
